The Android operating system has been around for quite some time and is well known to a wide range of users. However, statistics search queries tells us that some users still have difficulties with even simple issues of using Android. It is to them that we address this article, in which we will tell you how to remove unnecessary applications from your smartphone or tablet. When it comes to ordinary applications, this is not at all difficult to do, but if you need to remove system programs, you will need some tricks.

How to remove third-party programs

There are several ways to remove programs that you installed or received with your device, but are not system programs. The first one is to use the standard Settings application.

1. Go to the settings of your gadget and open the “Applications” section.

2. Swipe left or right to the “Third Party” tab.

3. Find the right application and tap on the name to open its properties.

4. Erase all program data by clicking on the “Erase Data” button so that no garbage remains after deletion.

5. Click on the “Delete” button and wait for the message about correct deletion programs.

The second way to remove unnecessary programs uses a standard application Play Store.

1. Open Play app Market.

2. Pull down the menu from the left side of the screen. Click the “My Applications” button in it.

3. Find the name of the program you are interested in on the “Installed” tab. Tap on its icon.

4. On the program properties page that opens, you will see the “Uninstall” button, after touching which the application you have selected will be uninstalled.

The above methods for removing programs work on almost any version of Android and do not require any additional tools. However, there are also a large number third party utilities providing additional features. They can remove applications in batch mode, make backup copies of programs and user data, can temporarily “freeze” processes, and much more.

How to remove Android system apps

All smartphones and Android tablets fall into our hands with a number of already installed standard programs. Among them there are vital and irreplaceable utilities that you should never touch, but there are also some that are not too useful programs, which most users want to get rid of.

If you do not have superuser rights, you will only have to limit yourself to disabling unnecessary programs. To do this, open the device settings, go to the “Applications” section and swipe to the “All” tab.

Here you will see a list of all programs installed on your gadget, including system ones. Find the required element and in its properties you will see the “Disable” button. If this button is active, then you can turn off without any consequences this application. Thus, it is not possible to deactivate all programs, so you have to resort to the following method, which requires root.

If you have superuser rights, then you can get rid of system applications simply by deleting the corresponding .apk file in the /system/app directory. For this you will need any file manager having access to this folder, for example

In the process of searching for the right application, it is not uncommon to test dozens of other applications. And after suitable applications are found on the Android device, there remains a lot. If you do not remove these applications, you will quickly run out of memory and your device will start to work extremely slowly. In this article we will talk about how to remove applications on Android.

The easiest way to remove an application on Android is to use the standard application manager, which is built into the operating system itself. With it, you can remove any applications except standard ones. To do this you need to have some knowledge.

So, in order to access it, you need to open Android Settings and go to the “Applications” section. After opening the “Applications” section in Android settings, you will see a list of all installed applications, sorted alphabetically. Find in this list the application you want to remove and click on it.

After this, a screen with information about the application you have selected will open in front of you. There are several buttons on this screen: Stop, Delete, Erase data and Clear cache. In order to delete the application you need to click on the “Delete” button.

After clicking the “Delete” button, a pop-up window will appear asking you to confirm the deletion. In this window, you just need to click on the “Ok” button, after which the application will be removed from your smartphone or tablet.

Uninstalling applications via Google Play Market

If you cannot find the application you need in the list of installed ones, then you can use the application Google Play Market. Open Google Play Market and enter the name of the application you need into the search, and then go to its page. There will be two on the application page big buttons: Delete and Open. Click on the “Delete” button and then confirm the deletion by clicking on the “Ok” button.

Uninstalling an application through third-party applications

Another way to remove applications is to remove them via third party applications. For operating system Android has developed quite a few applications for removing and managing other applications. For example, you can use Easy application Uninstaller. This application is completely free and you can use it.

The main advantage of Easy Uninstaller over the standard application manager is a simpler uninstallation process. At the same time, Easy Uninstaller allows you to remove several applications at once, which can be very convenient if you want to do a thorough cleaning on your Android device.

Easy Uninstaller is very easy to use. All you need to do is launch this application, check the boxes next to the applications, and click on the “Delete” button.

Once confirmation is received, the selected applications will be removed.

It should be noted that the methods described above do not work for standard applications that were preinstalled by the manufacturer of your Android tablet or smartphone. You need ROOT rights, as well as special software. For example, you can use the System app remover.

While using an Android smartphone or tablet, the user is faced with the need to remove unnecessary applications. Consider 4 simple ways how to delete an application on android. Let's find out why some files remain after uninstalling programs, how this affects the operation of the device, and how to clean up unnecessary system junk.

Method 1: Uninstalling applications from Android via Play Market.

Shop Google applications Play serves not only to install, but also to remove programs. To do this you need to perform a number of simple steps:

  1. Open the Play Market application on your smartphone or tablet.
  2. In the upper left corner, click on the button in the form of three stripes.
  3. In the window that appears, select “My applications and games.”
  4. Open the application and click on the delete button.

Main advantages:

  • An easy way to remove apps from your phone.

Main disadvantages:

  • For work Play Market requires mobile or wireless Internet.
  • You cannot delete multiple applications at once.
  • Programs installed from unknown sources are not displayed.

Method 2: Uninstalling applications on Android through the application menu.

The standard way to remove unnecessary applications on Android in a few taps is from the application menu. To do this you need to open the menu with installed programs, hold down the shortcut, and then move it to the trash can icon at the top of the screen. The system will ask you to confirm the action, after which the application will disappear.

Pay attention!

Only shortcuts are removed from the desktop quick access to applications, and the programs remain in the system. The exception is shells, where the desktop and application menu are combined.

Main advantages:

  • Remove applications from your phone in three clicks.
  • No internet or Google services required.

Main disadvantages:

  • There is no way to remove several unnecessary applications at once.

Method 3: Uninstalling applications from Android through the settings menu.

Another simple way to remove applications is through the settings menu, where the user can also clear the cache, data, stop and disable programs. To do this, you need to open the appropriate section of your smartphone or tablet and select “Applications”. Next, select the unnecessary utility from the list and click the appropriate button in the window that appears.

It is worth noting that stopping the program is a temporary measure, and if necessary, the operating system will load the program into memory again. And system applications cannot be deleted without root rights (administrator rights), so all that remains is to disable the application. The program will disappear from the application menu, but will continue to function if necessary for the operation of the operating system.

Main advantages:

  • To delete, you do not need internet or a Google account.
  • A way to stop and disable programs. Ability to clean and delete the application.
  • Information about used disk space.

Main disadvantages:

  • Batch deleting applications is not supported.
  • You cannot delete the standard application, even if you get root.

Method 4: Uninstalling applications from Android through third-party programs.

The depths of the play market contain many utilities for working with applications. For example, the AppMgr III program batch clears the cache or data of installed applications, moves them to a memory card, and also deletes applications. And if you give the utility root rights, then deletion and movement occurs in one click, which significantly saves time. And, for example, Titanium Backup can freeze and restore any applications, which is useful after resetting to factory settings.

Main advantages:

  • Batch application management.
  • Option to clear cache.
  • Ability to work without the Internet.
  • Ability to delete system applications on Android, provided you have root rights.

Main disadvantages:

  • Free software is limited in functionality or contains advertising.

Cleaning residual files

Some applications leave residual files (system junk) after uninstallation. Typically these are log files, empty folders, data backups, or caches. In total, such data takes up some space in memory and also reduces the performance of the device. There are two ways to clean system debris: manually or automatically.

To manually clean, you need to open the file manager. Then check the internal storage partition and the Android\data or Android\obb folder. Then delete empty folders and files of already deleted applications. This method requires more time and experience from the user, but the likelihood of accidentally deleting important files is lower.

To take advantage of automatic cleaning of system debris, download and install the Clean Master or CCleaner application for free. Select the junk cleaning option, wait until the scanning process is completed and decide to delete the files. This method simple and less time-consuming, but has a higher risk of deleting useful data.

Video instructions for removing an application from Android d

You buy new smartphone, you turn it on, and a bunch of unnecessary programs are already installed. It can be difficult to understand what these applications are for and whether they can be safely removed or disabled. When I purchased it, out of 32 gigabytes of internal memory, about ten were free. The rest of the space was occupied by preinstalled programs.

In this article I will tell you which applications can be disabled on Android without any special consequences. I will not consider removing system software, because in most cases this requires root access. If you decide to get root, the Debloater program will easily cope with the removal task. You can download it on the play market or 4pda.

I collected data on devices Samsung Galaxy(since I am the owner of one of them) to a summary table of applications that do not affect the performance of the phone (with a description). And you decide what to do with them. But disabling or removing unnecessary junk will help increase the performance of your mobile phone.

Please note that if you click the “stop” button, the program may subsequently restart automatically. And if you “disable” it, it does not restart until you turn it on manually. Some cannot be disabled or deleted.

Mordokniga pays smartphone manufacturers to embed the application into the firmware. The mobile client allows you to keep abreast of your friends' events all the time, track likes, and annoyingly notifies you about every sneeze. At the same time, it consumes a lot of resources and constantly drains the battery. Unfortunately, this infection cannot be removed in my Samsung. But you can turn it off, which I immediately did, since I don’t use this social network at all. If there is a special need, I can temporarily activate the application.

Weather apps

A weather widget is also often built into the phone’s operating system. It worked for me for 3 months, and then stopped updating data. I always need only two parameters from this program: air temperature and the presence of precipitation. If you need weather maps and other little things, then you don’t need to delete the program. In other cases, it is advisable to get rid of the unnecessary, power-hungry application that tries to connect to the server every minute. I couldn't do this on the A5.

You can always check the weather by looking out the window. And if you need a forecast, Google is a good predictor.

Antivirus programs

You need an antivirus if your phone is rooted, you are constantly conducting experiments and installing dubious hacked applications from unknown sources. Otherwise, such protection is not required. The antivirus will also eat up memory and slow down the system unnecessarily.

If you have any suspicions, install an antivirus and remove it after checking. My phone has a built-in one, which I also disabled.

Clean Master and other system optimizers

Software for “speeding up” the phone, contrary to expectations, slows down the operation of the device. Miracles do not happen, despite the assurances of the developers of these programs. Most “cleaners” only do harm. On my Samsung A5 2017, in the settings there is an “Optimization” section, where everything happens at the touch of one button. Most phones have tools for clearing caches and remnants of deleted software. AND additional programs no installation required.

Default browser

Almost every self-respecting phone manufacturer develops and implements its own Internet browser in the firmware. It may contain spyware or advertising links. But even if they are not there, this does not mean that the browser is good. Disable it or delete it.

Best to install Google Chrome– a simple and fast browser. If you care about privacy and don't want to clutter up your phone's space with accumulating cache, Firefox Focus is your choice, a private browser that leaves no traces.

I have compiled a small table for the remaining applications. Here is everything that can be disabled without affecting the operation of Android.

Note about updates

Let's say you didn't turn anything off - let them work. Automatic shutdown background applications helps to avoid rapid battery discharge. But these programs are also updated! And in this case they do not devour RAM, but internal. So I went ahead and turned off auto-updates through the Play Store. I regularly manually update only those applications that I actually use.

Any user who buys for himself new phone wants the device to work as long as possible without glitches and lags. Today we will talk about phones that were released on Android based. The first time using such phones should not be accompanied by reboots and shutdowns without the user’s knowledge. And this sometimes happens and the reason for this is intrusive standard Android applications, which launch and work without the knowledge of the phone owner.

Today I will tell you how to deal with such applications and make the work of your phone easier.

Why are there problems with applications?

Today there is such diversity mobile phones based on Android, which means you should approach your choice very carefully. But choosing and buying a device is still half the trouble. The real hassle begins when the user of a new phone encounters applications and Android components that he absolutely does not need and few people even know about their existence. Such unfortunate applications only harm the phone. If you do not turn them off in time, you may experience the following problems:

Of all the variety of applications on Android, these are the most necessary: E-mail, Browser, Phone, SMS/MMS (Messages), Downloads, Camera, Settings, Engineering menu, Play Market, SIM menu, Contacts, FM radio, Google Settings, Clock, Tasks, Music, Video Player, Backups (Google Drive), Organizer, Calendar, File Manager, Voice Recorder, Weather, Navigation.

There are a couple of other applications that are popular among users, but all the others just take up space.

For example, the manufacturer installed the main applications on Android that it considered necessary. But, the distribution company can supplement this list of applications, such as: Skype, Google Mail, Google browser Chrome (alternative to system browser), OK Google ( voice search on Google), Film Studio and your own applications.

But the list of applications does not end there. After all, there are also operators cellular communication, who are also not lazy and write their own applications. For example, if you connected to Beeline, you will be able to install the default application “My Beeline”. If you bought a smartphone or tablet from MTS, then the device will have following applications: “Where are the children”, “Second memory”, “ Personal account”, “Direct transfer” and others, created for convenient management of additional services on the MTS SIM card number.

The good news is that you don’t need to search for all these applications for a long time. Most often, they are placed directly on the desktop and have the manufacturer’s company logo. It’s also good that all these branded applications can be removed without special Root access. Even if they were installed by default before being put on display in a communication store.

Is it possible to remove system apps on Android?

On Android, you can perform any manipulations with applications, including deleting and changing the above. Only for this you need to have Root rights. The files of all installed applications are located in one place by default, namely in the system/app folder and they are all closed from writing.

Since there were many demands for removing system applications, programs that help you gain Root access with the click of a finger have become popular. There are a lot of such applications, the most popular among them are Easy Rooting Toolkit, Gingerbreak, HTC Quick Root, RootExplorer, SuperOneClick, VISIONary, Unlock Root, Unrevoked, z4root.

You can check which application is suitable for your device using the test that is included in each application.

For example, the RootExplorer application will allow you to change the access level for system folders, while setting their “Read/Write” attribute for them. After installing this application, you will be able to create, edit, rename, delete and perform any other actions in folders that are located in system/app. This program is freely available and you can easily download it from the Play Market.

List of applications to delete

The list of applications below will allow you to find and remove the most unnecessary ones. There are no applications in the list, the removal of which could lead to malfunctions of the device. You can safely delete them without fear that your phone or tablet will start to malfunction.

How to properly remove an application?

Once you download and install the application, which will give you Root rights, you will have access to all folders in the internal memory, including system ones. Now you can do whatever you want with the built-in apps.

But here, too, some rules are needed. Despite the fact that deleting applications is not difficult, I still recommend that you do it for the first time according to the plan that I will write below.

The first step is to install the "SystemApp Remover" application.

The second step is already working in this very program. You can not only delete user data, but also save or restore it. If a complete removal is available for the application you have selected, then on the screen of your phone or tablet you will see a window with a notification “Delete” and “Disable”.

Problems that may arise when uninstalling programs

When you delete any application you choose, you need to delete not only ARK files, but also files that have the ODEX extension.

The ODEX extension indicates a file describing any application. If you do not remove it, then in your operating registry Android systems, unnecessary entries will appear, which will affect the speed of the smartphone as a whole.

As soon as you turn on your Android phone or tablet, the entire registry is loaded into RAM. Thus, the device operates constantly, in full combat gear, so to speak. The moment you turn off or reboot your Android system, all this data is saved in the internal flash memory of the device.

My advice to you is, before you remove any system application from Android devices, first you just need to turn it off and use your phone or tablet that way. There may be some crashes or freezes without this application. Then under no circumstances should you delete it, but on the contrary, quickly turn it on so that your Android device works as before.

I have written you a list of applications that you can delete without fear for the operation of your smartphone. But there are applications that, on the contrary, should not be deleted. We are talking about applications, without which your device will lose performance and will be inconvenient to use. This is, in a way, the backbone of each device. We are talking about the applications: “Phone”, “Messages”, SIM menu, “Settings”, “Navigation” and “File Manager”.

After you delete all the applications you no longer need, traces of them will still remain. The folders “/system/lib” and “/data/dalvik-cache” will still contain information about deleted applications. Under no circumstances should you touch the first folder. Any changes to it may entail consequences that will be reflected in the operation of the smartphone. The second can be cleaned if full reset Android - hard reset.

Of course, the SystemApp Remover application is very convenient and easy to use. But you also need to be very careful with it. Before you uninstall any application using this utility, I recommend that you make a copy of the application itself. Perhaps a seemingly unnecessary application is of great importance for Android firmware devices. System applications, on which the operation of Android processes and services directly depend, require extreme care. Yes, some may say that making new firmware is not difficult. But it’s better not to let your phone get so bad that it needs to be reflashed.

The flashing procedure can also be done at home. But, you will have to spend time on this, and it’s not a fact that it will work out the first time.

If you are very careless about deleting system applications on Android, then there can be big problems with your phone. Most often, haste or inattention in this matter leads to the following consequences: SMS are not sent or it is not possible to receive or make a call, access to the Internet via Wi-Fi is lost, cyclical restarts or long-term freezes occur when starting the device. And this is far from full list troubles.

Bringing back deleted system applications

Remember the main rule - before you delete a system application on Android, be sure to make a backup of this application. This is a very important point, since some applications that do not affect the operation of one smartphone in any way can affect the operation of another. Therefore, we copy not only ARK files, but also ODEX files. Now I will tell you a specific example of a backup using the Titanium Backup tool. Just like for deleting applications, for the backup procedure you need to obtain Root rights. I told you how to do this a little higher.

Download and install the Titanium Backup application from Androidapplications.ru. After installing it, we launch it, and assign superuser rights to the application.

To continue working with the application, you need to open access to the system folder. Now you need to open the “Backups” tab. In this folder there will be a list of applications that you can copy. After this, you need to select a property for the list of Android applications by which it will be available to you.

In simple words, you need to sort the list of applications according to one main criterion.

Now open the action panel, which will be located above the selected application if you click on its name. Click the “Freeze!” window. This way you will create backup copy.

In order to save the application, click the “Save” button. You will have to open each application and save a copy of it. But it’s worth spending time on this, since this is the only insurance in case you delete an application that will have a bad effect on the operation of your smartphone or tablet.

If a blocked application does affect the operation of the device, it must be returned. To unlock and launch the Android application, you need to follow the same steps as described above, but instead of “Freeze”, you need to select “Unfreeze”.
In order to restore a deleted application, you need to run Titanium Backup again, sort the list of applications by the availability of their backup copies and restore each application separately by clicking on “Restore”.

There is another way to save applications. With it you can save them all at once. To do this, you need to run the Titanium Backup program and open the tool for creating a complete “system” copy of Android and select the “Back up all system data” option. If, in addition to system applications, you want to save others, then select the “Back up all user software and system data".

If you did delete some system applications that were especially important, you will need to restore them. To do this, you need to run the recovery tool in the Titanium Backup program.

To restore, you need to select “Restore all system data.” If user applications have been deleted that you also want to return, then select “Restore missing software and all system data.”

Remove all unnecessary system applications at once

Once you have learned how to use “freezing” system applications, you can already make a list of programs that you absolutely do not need to use the device. Having made sure that your device works normally without these applications, it’s time to start removing them. But, what What to do if there are a lot of such applications? Manually deleting each of them is a long and boring process. Now I will teach you how to avoid all this.

To remove all unnecessary applications in one fell swoop, you will naturally need Root access. But besides this, you cannot do without a file manager on your PC or on the smartphone itself.

If you perform the deletion directly on your smartphone, then you need to find and open the standard Android file manager. First of all, you will see the ARC files that you are going to delete.

Then go to the system/app folder and manually remove all the applications that you do not need. If you know exactly the names of the applications that you want to remove, then for convenience, use the file manager search.

Very important: components that are components Android operating system and marked with a web address in a “mirror” image of the form com.android.<ресурс>, or having an icon in the form of a green Android robot - cannot be deleted.

Look for applications that do not have this label. All others will have normal names that match the name of the programs you chose to remove. If you delete a file that is integral part Android operating system, the device's firmware will completely crash. Then you cannot do without a complete system recovery software procedure, which you are unlikely to be able to carry out on your own.

But even this problem will be helped by specialists in service centers. But it won't be cheap.

If we properly clean your smartphone of debris, you will avoid sudden loss of built-in software and failure of your smartphone. Moreover, with proper cleaning, the device will start working many times faster, since you will free up internal memory. For some, after removing unnecessary system programs, the battery on the device holds its charge longer, and traffic consumption is reduced significantly.

I hope my tips will help you and you will speed up your smartphone. Thank you for being with us.
