The smartphone comes with a good wired headset, but otherwise the set is standard: cable, charger and documentation.

Appearance, materials, control elements, assembly

ZenFone Max has a recognizable design, similar to other devices in the line, but with two good, in my opinion, features. In the white version, the front side is white, and not black, as in the same ZenFone Selfie. And the bezel in the model plays beautifully in the light - its color changes from silver to gold and back.

There will be two versions of the device on sale, black and white; we tested the latter.

Below the screen there is a panel of touch buttons, and even lower there is a beautiful pattern, like all models from the Zen line. The buttons, like other models, are not backlit, and this is a minus; finding them in the dark is not always easy. In general, Asus could safely abandon both the buttons and the pattern in order to reduce the height of the device.

Now let's move on to the remaining control elements:

The area above the screen. LED, light and proximity sensors, speaker mesh

Right end. Volume rocker and power button

Top end. 3.5 mm headphone jack

Bottom end. Microphone hole and microUSB port

Back cover. External speaker mesh

Back cover. Main camera, LED flash, laser focusing

The LED in the device is small and thin, however, in some devices it is completely absent. The power button and volume rocker are positioned just right so that your thumb rests on them. Both have the same beautiful textured pattern from the Zen line. The external speaker has an average volume headroom; in a noisy place you may miss a call.

The back cover is removable; to remove it, you need to pick up a special groove in the lower left corner. But the battery is non-removable, and this really surprised me.

Hidden under the cover are two slots for microSIM cards and a slot for a memory card. Cards up to 64 GB are supported.

The device is well assembled; my only complaint is that the glass on the front panel and the area with the textured pattern are not at the same height; the glass rises a little. Otherwise, there are no backlashes or creaks; the absence of the latter is due to the large number of latches on the cover; it is difficult to remove it.

Dimensions

A capacious battery, one way or another, plays a role in relation to the size of the device, so ZenFone Max cannot be called compact. On the other hand, when you take it in your hand, there is no feeling that it is heavy or thick; I would rather call the device weighty. I love lightweight smartphones, but during the test I used the Max as my main device without any problems.

But one thing I would like to point out is the height of the Max, it is higher than the competition and the reason for this is simple: the touch buttons and the panel below them. I believe that these elements should be abandoned in future models.

Compared to Apple iPhone 6

Screen

Despite the low resolution for such a diagonal, I really liked the screen in Max, it is good for the middle segment, HD resolution does not overload the system, and in everyday use the difference between HD and FHD is noticeable only in small fonts.

The screen has good viewing angles, average brightness range and natural color reproduction.

Asus traditionally adds several nice settings for the display: fine tuning color rendering, special reading mode, ability to operate the device with gloves.

operating system

The smartphone works under Android control 5.0.2 and ZenUI shells. I keep repeating that I like the direction in which Asus is moving, developing its shell. All elements are designed as separate applications, so updates can be received directly from Play Store, without waiting for new firmware. The manufacturer is working on the shell, so the same keyboard began to work much better and more accurately than a year ago on the original ZenFone 2. ZenUI has a lot of interesting features and features, so I highly recommend reading our detailed review this shell.

From additional features I will highlight the TrueCaller ID application, which identifies the caller based on a common database of numbers. You can immediately reset the call and add spammers to your blacklist. But I recommend not confirming the request to read contacts, otherwise the numbers of all your friends will end up in the common TrueCaller ID database.

Among the pleasant features, I will allocate 100 GB of space for Google Drive for 2 years.

Performance

The economical Snapdragon 410 was chosen as the chipset; its capabilities are enough to support HD resolution, while it does not consume much energy. The smartphone works great in most usage scenarios. Of course, some high-performance games will run on medium settings, but the device is not designed for gamers.

In games and benchmarks, the area under the camera heats up; in other situations, I didn’t notice much heating.

Autonomous operation

The results in our standard tests for the smartphone are simply amazing; in my memory, this is one of the longest-lasting models. In everyday use, ZenFone Max also does not disappoint: with average activity of about two hours of screen time (mail, Twitter, browser, instant messengers), you can safely count on three days of work. For more active users, the device is guaranteed to provide two days of use.

By the way, the smartphone can also act as an external battery, but Asus was greedy and did not include the corresponding USB-OTG cable in the kit. But there is no support for Quick Charge; the average time to fully charge the device takes about three hours.

I would also like to draw your attention to the Asus application manager, it works very aggressively, so do not forget to add all instant messengers to exceptions or completely disable this utility.

Camera

The device takes good pictures during the day and in cloudy weather. White balance is determined accurately, detail is average, it is, of course, inferior to the flagships of large companies.

The camera settings have many different modes - night, super resolution, background blur, and even a couple of presets for selfies.

The video is recorded in FHD, the quality is average; when focusing by pressing, the camera does not always accurately select the object to focus on.

Wireless interfaces

The smartphone is relatively inexpensive, so you don’t get dual-band Wi-Fi, .ac support, or NFC, but the GPS is fast and works as it should.

Conclusion

I had no complaints about the quality of speech transmission; you and your interlocutor can hear each other perfectly.

At retail, Asus ZenFone Max sells for 15-16 thousand rubles. It is important to understand that the key advantage of the model is a super-capacity 5000 mAh battery, which provides the gadget with two to three days of operation without recharging. At the same time, the manufacturer made the remaining parameters tolerable enough so that the user did not have to pay for good time poor display or low speed. I enjoyed using the ZenFone Max and would confidently recommend it for purchase to anyone looking for a device with a large battery. However, let's not forget about competitors.

Acer Liquid Z630. The battery capacity is 1000 mAh lower, but the price starts at 12,500 rubles. This device is also a little thinner and lighter, plus a cool back cover, stylized as paper.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3. For those who want a higher resolution and powerful hardware, Redmi Note 3 is suitable; our resellers sell it for 12-13 thousand rubles. Just keep in mind that this device does not have a memory card slot.

Lenovo Vibe P1. A serious competitor with FHD resolution, Qualcomm Snapdragon 615, 5000 mAh battery and Quick Charge support for 18,000 rubles.

We are talking about Asus Zenfone Max ZC550KL, which became available in January 2016. But before users had time to evaluate the new product, the company already introduced a new one in May Asus Zenfone Max ZC550KL (2016). To some, such a step will seem quite strange, but apparently the manufacturer decided that it had gone overboard with the release of the device on the simple 410 Snapdragon and in a hurry released a version on the more advanced 615 chip.

Appearance of the updated model

For those who are already familiar with the previous model, the appearance will seem familiar. But even in this case, the smartphones cannot be distinguished, because the body has not undergone any changes. The front panel is, as always, recognizable: this is facilitated by the characteristic rounding of the corners, as well as the lower overlay, which has a metallic shine. The diagonal remains the same: 5.5 inches. The resolution remains the same at 720x1280 pixels. By the way, the display is covered with a protective gorilla of the current fourth generation. The light golden plastic rim still catches your eye. As for the back, it is textured like leather, although it is made of soft-touch plastic. Considering the mid-segment positioning, the device showed itself on the positive side in terms of appearance, and now, in addition to black and white, orange and blue are available. But his strength lies elsewhere.

Technical capabilities

As already mentioned, the device received an updated processor that meets all the performance requirements of the mid-segment series. But the battery is in Asus Zenfon max ZC550KL (2016), as in the previous model, can please fans of long-lasting solutions. Yes, it’s not for nothing that the device received a weighty 10.6 mm case, because it houses a battery with a record 5000 mAh to date. For example, the competitor Lenovo Vibe K4 Note is lighter, but its battery capacity is 3300 mAh. As for long-term solutions, we can only remember Philips, but their devices are already outdated. There are 2 gigabytes of RAM left, but there is a version with three gigabytes. The permanent memory in the smartphone is 32 gigabytes, there is an expansion slot. Of course strong point Even the mid-segment Asus has a camera: there is a 13-megapixel sensor, a dual-tone flash and proprietary laser autofocus, so this long-lasting smartphone will also be of interest to photography enthusiasts.

Asus Zenfone Max Pro attracts attention because it tries to please everyone at once. The slogan of this smartphone is “live while playing,” and the slogan of ASUS itself is “in search of the incredible.” Let's try to figure out whether it is possible to play modern games for little money, and in addition get a good gadget for every day.

Design and management

Asus Zenfon Max Pro M1 can be considered an almost ideal smartphone in terms of design. Despite the fact that a 6-inch screen size was recently considered to be a phablet, it has now become typical for regular smartphone. Even with a rather small display, the device in question manages to look quite compact. The device lies in your hands and feels like a medium-sized 5.5-inch gadget.

Important! Another significant advantage is the convenient location of the fingerprint sensor. The index finger rests on it on its own, very naturally.

The body of the device is all-metal, and even has a very capacious battery, but at the same time it weighs a little. It's nice that matte finish, non-glare, prints on it are almost invisible.

Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1

On the left there is a slot for a SIM card and a memory card. On the right side there are two volume control buttons and a power button. For blind use, the power button is marked tactile ornament. A very logical and popular solution.

There is a microphone on the top edge. He settled here in splendid isolation. But the second microphone and headphone jack are closely grouped at the bottom. A microphone was also built into the bottom. In front above the screen there is a speaker and a camera with flash. On the back of the device you can see a scanner, flash and a dual camera with the corresponding inscription.

The gadget's display is covered tempered glass with curves along the entire plane. I must say that this is one of the few models for which such curves are suitable and add sophistication. The phone looks quite stylish, while managing to retain the classic features of a candy bar. It fits well in the hand and has very convenient dimensions.

Screen Features

The display of the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 is the strong point of the device. This is a 6-inch matrix made using IPS technology. There are three points for which Asus engineers should be praised.

  1. Good screen brightness. It allows you to work with the same comfort both indoors and in natural light.
  2. Color coverage is as much as 85%. This is a lot; traditional sRGB technology, used in most budget phones, cannot boast of a similar result.
  3. High contrast ratio, 1500 to 1. It will take quite a long time to find the best indicators.

The screen does not consume much energy, its operation is balanced and controlled by relevant applications. The viewing angles of the device are also impressive. To notice distortions, you will have to twirl the smartphone in your hands for a long time. Thanks to the “smart screen” feature that has finally appeared in Android, the screen will not go dark while the user is looking at it.

Advice! In order to extend the battery life, you can set a timer to turn off the screen in all other cases.

The screen of the Asus Zenfon Max Pro M1 is definitely its strong point. It is very good that for a fairly small amount the user has the opportunity to purchase a device with such display parameters.

Memory and performance

IN Asus review Zenfone Max Pro M1 needs to be mentioned about the performance of the smartphone. The device is equipped with one of the most powerful chips today. The graphics accelerator allows you to run many games without thinking at all about whether the device will handle it or not. You can safely install any one from the application store.

Permanent memory will be enough even in the minimum configuration. On 32 GB you can save enough information, and if it’s not enough, then buy an additional memory card. RAM is provided 3 GB or 4 GB depending on the configuration. Three gigabytes from manufacturers is the required minimum, which allows you to comfortably use the phone. Although a couple of years ago only flagships could boast of such volumes.

The results of synthetic tests are another reason for optimism. Smartphone confidently outperforms its main competitors in benchmarks. The system turned out to be quite cold, which reduces all slowdowns due to freezing to almost zero.

The Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 smartphone perfectly lives up to its advertising slogan: you can and should play on it. Considering the price-performance ratio, the feasibility and profitability of each invested ruble increases significantly.

The Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 zb602kl smartphone decided to be unique and interesting in all aspects. Connoisseurs of the operating system from Google can rejoice on the device installed pure Android 8.1 out of the box, without root and reinstallations. For some reason, the proprietary graphical shell did not fit into the concept and positioning of the model. And this news is truly good. First of all, a bare system is minimum pre-installed applications. We do not take into account branded ones; if desired, you can easily turn them off or delete them. In addition, the eighth version looks more interesting than most third-party shells from smartphone manufacturers. To put it simply, Android 8.1 is good in its own right.

Don't forget about update system. In the case of a clean OS, they will come directly from Google servers, without delays. The user can be sure that the most current system with the latest security patches is installed on his device.

Important! Thanks to modern architecture and software capabilities, face unlocking is available on the smartphone. Perhaps this is one of the few “tricks” that the owner uses for the first couple of days and then turns it off. However, the system works well, the face is remembered and recognized, although not without errors.

Call and sound quality

The specifications of the Asus Zenfone Max Pro indicate a wide range of capabilities of the phone.

  1. A modern smartphone user often needs fast internet. And for lovers high speeds the device is in stock support for 4th generation networks, as well as fast Wi-Fi.
  2. Connoisseurs of high technology and the most modern methods payment customers will no doubt be happy to have the option of making contactless payments. Yes, it is available here full-fledged NFC module.
  3. The smartphone can also be used as a navigator. When traveling at the user's service GPS and GLONASS.

The conversational microphone and speaker do their job well. Two microphones provide excellent noise reduction. Another “trick” that can attract young and active users is five magnet speaker. It has a built-in audio codec. The smartphone sounds very good, loud and clear, without wheezing. If you use a headset, the sound will also please music lovers of various genres.

Battery and autonomy

The Asus Zenfon Max Pro phone is the longest-lasting in the line. The prefix “max” in the name hints at the increased battery capacity. It remains a mystery how with a 5000 mAh battery the device body managed to remain thin(thickness only 8.45 mm).

Such a large volume is usually the lot of power banks with a dialer function. Inexpensive phones have to compensate for large energy losses with a powerful battery. Gluttonous processor, lack of competent control at the software level, etc. But the gadget is built on the most current energy-efficient platform. That is why a long-lasting battery is not an attempt at compensation, but another advantage.

Draining the battery in a day even at maximum load is an impossible task. Games, movies, internet, 100% screen brightness, the phone can handle all of this perfectly. You will only have to charge it on the second day. And if you use the device moderately, then on the third one.

Important! The fast charging feature seems like the icing on the cake. The device will charge from zero to one hundred percent in 2 hours 40 minutes, to half capacity and even faster.

Camera specifications

The Asus Zenfone Max Pro phone is equipped with a dual main camera of 13/5 MP (f2.2/2.4). It would be a shame if one of the device’s functions differed significantly from the others for the worse. Engineers from Asus obviously decided the same. The quality of the pictures is satisfactory. The camera does not convey all the magic of the frame; the image capture angles also leave much to be desired. But still, using a smartphone, you can create a beautiful frame and process it in a convenient built-in editor. In addition, the device can record 4K video. Few competitors with similar models can boast of this.

The front photo module has an expansion of 8 megapixels. It has everything you need to create a great self-portrait: a wonderful viewing angle, as much as 85 degrees, background blur. There is a flash, but you shouldn’t use it for its intended purpose, because in the dark the matrix takes pictures much worse. The front camera is great for group shots, several people can easily fit into the frame.

Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 is a mid-range smartphone that is equipped with a large 5000 mAh battery and excellent technical characteristics at a price of $225 (RUR 14,000).

For review, I used the Zenfone Max Pro version with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory. During testing, the phone received several firmware updates, with a focus on improving camera performance and adding features like VoLTE support and facial recognition.

Let's find out what else, besides the large battery and low cost, is this device interesting?

Design and build

The design of the Asus Zenfone Max Pro is unremarkable and looks like most other smartphones in this segment. The build quality is solid, and the aluminum frame gives the whole structure extra rigidity. Weighing 180 grams, this phone is quite heavy, and due to the large battery it is still a little thick, but the heavy weight gives the device an additional feeling of durability.

The Zenfone Max Pro M1's screen has rounded edges and narrow bezels on both sides. Asus claims that the phone has a 2.5D protective glass, but there is no word on what kind specifically. Despite its large size, the device is quite ergonomic and fits well in the hand.

The metal back cover has a soft matte finish that is pleasant to the touch, but quickly attracts fingerprints. The main design feature of the Zenfone Max Pro is the dual camera module on the back, which is flush with the body and looks quite neat.

The phone is available in two color options - silver and dark black. In general, this gadget will not receive awards for best design, but a minimalist and functional design with good build quality that will appeal to most users.

Smartphone display

The new Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 features a 5.99-inch Full HD+ display with oleophobic coating and an 18:9 aspect ratio. It is a premium display with a contrast ratio of 1500:1 and a maximum brightness of 450 nits.

The screen colors are rich, and the brightness is enough for comfortable viewing of content even on clear sunny days. The viewing angles are excellent and even better than most smartphones in this segment.

Equipment performance

Under the hood, the Asus Zenfone Max Pro houses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor, which offers better performance over the Snapdragon 625 as it uses Qualcomm's own Kryo cores to boost power.

The phone comes with two memory options: 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB. Internal memory Both devices can be expanded using microSD. Asus has also announced a 6GB/64GB version (with better camera quality) which will be available a little later.

The version I tested with 3 GB of RAM performed well. Zenfone Max Pro (M1) copes with hardcore games, everyday tasks and even multitasking without any problems. During long gaming sessions, the phone does get slightly warm, but not uncomfortably so.

Overall, the device works well and even the performance of the version with 3 GB of RAM will be enough for most users. Of course, more experienced ones will choose the version with 4 GB of RAM.

Battery autonomy

The Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 also boasts a 5,000mAh battery, but it doesn't offer exceptional battery life. battery life. Some competitors offer similar battery life with less capacity and in a smaller package.

The battery charge lasts for a whole day with active use. This is quite enough, but I hope that a software update will optimize energy consumption even better.

The phone comes with a 2A/10W fast charger that charges the battery from 0 to 100% in less than 3 hours.

Multimedia and sound

Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 supports Bluetooth 4.2 with AptX technology for better sound over wireless connections. Thanks to the built-in NXP amplifier, the mono speaker here sounds quite loud.

To increase volume even further, the package includes a Max Box accessory that passively amplifies the sound without any electronics. The thing may be useless, but it is offered for free and can be useful to anyone.

Hardware

It's a little disappointing to have a MicroUSB port instead USB Type-C. For most people this is not a problem, but after all, this is a 2018 smartphone!

SIM card tray allows you to install two SIM cards and a microSD card at the same time. This is a nice addition for a budget phone, but only one can work on 4G networks, while the other is limited to 3G.

Software

Zenfone Max Pro M1 is the company's first smartphone that comes with a pure Android Oreo OS without the proprietary ZenUI shell. Asus says it plans to release two major updates to Android Q in the near future.

Even though it's stock Android, there are some pre-installed apps like Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and the Go2Pay mobile wallet that cannot be removed.

Inexpensive Asus Zenfone Max Pro equipped dual camera on the back with a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a secondary 5-megapixel sensor for depth effects. During the day, photos are clear, bright and with plenty of detail. In low light conditions, photos become noisy and details become a little blurry.

The HDR mode here doesn’t work well in the dark; the pictures come out blurry and with loss of detail. But the depth effect here pleased me, both for budget smartphone. The rear camera of the Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 can record 4K videos but lacks stabilization.

The front 8-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture also creates good selfies with lots of details and rich colors. The LED flash on the front panel is hard and for selfie mode I preferred to turn it off.

The camera app is confusing and not entirely clear. The controls are awkwardly placed, and simple buttons, like the flash, are hidden under the menu and cannot be pressed with a single press. Asus needs to revise this app and make it more user friendly and functional.

The camera on the Zenfone Max Pro is quite decent, better than most smartphones in this segment, but not as powerful as the Redmi Note 5 Pro.

Bottom line

Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 is great smartphone the advantages of which outweigh all the disadvantages. Top-notch performance, pure Android OS and a $225 price tag that rivals even some of Xiaomi's offerings.

The Zenfone Max Pro definitely needs improvements in camera software and battery life, but it's still a top-notch device with excellent value for money that could easily be the best on the market.

Advantages of Asus Zenfone Max Pro

  • Excellent build quality.
  • Bright display.
  • Good performance.
  • Value for money.

2G standards:

Standard mobile communications defines the technologies used and the principle of constructing mobile communication networks. Mobile communication networks are usually divided into analog (NMT, AMPS) and digital (D-AMPS, GSM, CDMA, WCDMA, UMTS), and also classified by generation (generation) stages of development of the standards themselves.
GSM(Global System for Mobile Communications) - the most popular and widespread standard cellular communications second generation 2G almost all over the world. In our country, as in most European countries, frequencies of 900 and 1800 MHz are allocated for this standard. In the countries of the American continent, it is customary to use frequencies of 850 and 1900 MHz.
The widespread introduction of GSM to replace outdated analogue networks has made it possible to significantly expand the subscriber base and the range of services provided, making cellular communications widely available. However, the specifics of GSM limit the services currently in demand based on high-speed Internet access.

3G standards:

3G(Third Generation) - Third generation mobile communication technologies based on packet data transmission. Third generation 3G networks usually operate in the range of about 2 GHz, allowing data transfer at a speed comparable to a dedicated home Internet. In addition to standard voice telephony services, 3G networks are initially focused on various multimedia services, such as video telephony and video conferencing, online viewing terrestrial television and movies, listening to Internet radio, etc. The most common third generation communication standard is WCDMA (UMTS), operating in most European countries, incl. in Russia and CIS countries.

Battery:

The difference in the chemical composition of batteries determines their physical and consumer parameters.
Ni-Cd(Nickel - Cadmium) and Ni-Mh(Nickel - Metal Hydride) batteries are quite heavy and bulky. Being not completely discharged before recharging, they are prone to loss of capacity (memory effect), and therefore require periodic maintenance (charge-discharge, so-called training).
Against, Li-Ion(Lithium Ion) and Li-Pol(Lithium - Polymer) batteries do not have these disadvantages. However, they lose their charge faster at low temperatures and have poor resistance to drops. Low maintenance and comparable smaller sizes and weight were decisive factors for their active use.

Super AMOLED- if a regular AMOLED screen uses several layers, between which there is an air gap, then in Super AMOLED there is only one such touch layer without air gaps. This allows you to achieve greater screen brightness with the same power consumption.
Super AMOLED HD- differs from Super AMOLED in its higher resolution, thanks to which you can achieve 1280x720 pixels on a mobile phone screen.
Super AMOLED plus- this is a new generation of Super AMOLED displays, differs from the previous one by using a larger number of subpixels in a conventional RGB matrix. The new displays are 18% thinner and brighter than displays made using the old PenTile technology.
AMOLED- an improved version of OLED technology. The main advantages of the technology are significantly reduced power consumption, the ability to display a larger color gamut, reduced thickness and the ability of the display to bend slightly without the risk of breaking.
Retina-high pixel density display designed specifically for Apple technology. Pixel density per Retina displays such that individual pixels are indistinguishable to the eye at a normal distance from the screen. This ensures the highest image detail and significantly improves the overall viewing experience.
Super Retina HD- the display is made using OLED technology. The pixel density is 458 PPI, the contrast reaches 1,000,000:1. The display has a wide color gamut and unsurpassed color accuracy. Pixels in the corners of the display are smoothed at the sub-pixel level, so edges are not distorted and appear smooth. The Super Retina HD reinforcing layer is 50% thicker. It will be harder to break the screen.
Super LCD is the next generation of LCD technology, it is characterized by improved characteristics compared to earlier LCD displays. The screens not only have wide viewing angles and better color reproduction, but also lower power consumption.
TFT- A common type of liquid crystal display. Using an active matrix controlled by thin-film transistors, it is possible to significantly increase the performance of the display, as well as the contrast and clarity of the image.
OLED- organic electroluminescent display. It consists of a special thin-film polymer that emits light when exposed to an electric field. This type of display has a large reserve of brightness and consumes very little energy.

Touch display:

The touch display is a conventional graphic display, on top of which either a pressure-sensitive substrate or infrared sensors are placed. Such a display reacts appropriately to presses with a stylus (pen) or fingers and is a more convenient way to interact with the device than a keyboard.

Additional display:

As a rule, an additional display is installed in folding phones. Depending on the model of the device, the additional display may display the caller's number, time, signal reception level and battery charge level.

Photo/Video camera

Main camera:

Thanks to the built-in digital camera It's very easy to capture important moments in life or shoot a video. Modern smartphone cameras are often not inferior in quality to real cameras. Using two, three or even four modules allows you to take wide-format photographs, photograph distant objects and achieve the effect of artistic background blur - bokeh.

Two modules (13 + 5 Mpix)

Autofocus:

Flash:

Designed for short-term and intense illumination of objects during shooting. IN cell phones there is xenon (which is based on electric gas discharge lamp, filled with xenon) or LED (LEDs act as a light source).

Communications and interfaces

WiFi:

WiFi(IEEE 802.11) is a high-speed wireless connection technology aimed at building corporate, private or public networks. The technology is based on the use of so-called multiple access points (hot-spots), to which client terminals are connected. Wi-Fi technology is described by many specifications (standards), which is reflected in their name by the last letter (for example, IEEE 802.11g).
At the base Wi-Fi technology Public Internet access points have been created in cafes, hotels, airports and other places. Connecting a device to such points is as simplified as possible and requires entering a network identifier (SSID), username and password.

Bluetooth module:

Technology Bluetooth implements wireless connection of devices via a secure radio channel in the 2.4 GHz range. The technology is based on the use of profiles (services) as tools for performing specific tasks (audio gateway, hands-free, headset, file transfer, dial-up networking, serial port, etc.). Each profile contains a specific set of operations and defines possible areas of interaction between devices.
With a Bluetooth connection, devices can be located at a distance of up to ten meters from each other, and therefore, the development of wireless accessories is one of the prerogatives of this technology.

Bluetooth Version:

Support bluetooth stereo:

bluetooth stereo or A2DP(Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) is a Bluetooth profile or service designed to transmit music in stereo sound. Devices that support the A2DP profile allow you to listen to music using wireless Bluetooth headphones, thereby freeing you from the limitations imposed by traditional wired stereo headsets.

Connection to PC:

By connecting the device to a personal computer, you can quickly and conveniently edit telephone entries or organizer notes, save important SMS messages or backups contents of the device, download various pictures, melodies, photos or video clips, go online.
Depending on the characteristics of the device, connection to a PC is carried out using an interface cable, infrared port, Bluetooth or Wi-Fi modules.

Audio jack:

Type of connector for connecting external audio devices (wired headsets, headphones, speakers). Many modern smartphones use a universal connector, such as USB Type-C or Lightning, for audio output, charging and data transfer.

Messages

SMS:

SMS(Short Messages Service) or short text messages are alternative way exchange of information in cellular networks. Most devices support receiving and sending SMS messages in both English and Russian. Type the desired text, for example, “Darling, I’m home. I kiss you and am waiting for you,” and within a few seconds it will be delivered to the mobile device you specified.
In addition, based on the SMS service, a variety of SMS services are provided, from weather forecasts and exchange rates, to dating and downloading simple melodies or pictures.

MMS:

MMS(Multimedia Messaging Service) is a universal technology for exchanging multimedia messages, which is a development of the idea of short SMS messages. In addition to plain text, an MMS message can contain color pictures and photographs, sound files of various formats or short videos. In addition, MMS messages can consist of several frames, representing a kind of animation.
When sending multimedia messages, GPRS or EDGE packet data transmission is used. You can send MMS messages either to a device compatible with this technology or to email.

Email:

Built-in email client is an analogue of programs for working with by email on personal computer, but in a slightly limited version. Typically, an E-mail client allows you to send and receive emails, as well as small attachments in the form of files with pictures or melodies.

Alerts

Vibration alert:

In situations where the use of sound notification is not entirely appropriate or is completely useless, built-in vibration alert will inform you about an incoming call or other event by a slight shaking of the device body. For example, at a lecture or meeting, near a busy highway or at a noisy party.

Additional features

Sensors:

Accelerometer(or G-sensor) - sensor of the device’s position in space. As a main function, the accelerometer is used to automatically change the orientation of the image on the display (vertical or horizontal). Also, the G-sensor is used as a pedometer; it can control various functions of the device by turning or shaking.
Gyroscope- a sensor that measures rotation angles relative to a fixed coordinate system. Capable of measuring rotation angles in several planes simultaneously. A gyroscope together with an accelerometer allows you to accurately determine the position of the device in space. Devices that use only accelerometers have lower measurement accuracy, especially when moving quickly. Also, the capabilities of the gyroscope can be used in modern games for mobile devices.
Light sensor- a sensor that sets the optimal brightness and contrast values for this level illumination The presence of a sensor allows you to increase the battery life of the device.
Proximity sensor- a sensor that detects when the device is close to your face during a call, turns off the backlight and locks the screen, preventing random clicks. The presence of a sensor allows you to increase the battery life of the device.
Geomagnetic sensor- a sensor for determining the direction of the world in which the device is directed. Tracks the orientation of the device in space relative to the magnetic poles of the Earth. The information received from the sensor is used in mapping programs for terrain orientation.
Atmospheric pressure sensor- sensor for precise measurement of atmospheric pressure. Is part of GPS systems, allows you to determine altitude above sea level and speed up location determination.
Touch ID- fingerprint identification sensor.

Satellite navigation:

GPS(Global Positioning System - global positioning system) - a satellite navigation system that provides measurements of distance, time, speed and determines the location of objects anywhere on Earth. The system is developed, implemented and operated by the US Department of Defense. The basic principle of using the system is to determine location by measuring distances to an object from points with known coordinates - satellites. The distance is calculated by the delay time of signal propagation from sending it by the satellite to receiving it by the antenna of the GPS receiver.

Case type:

Monoblock(regular, classic, brick) - the most versatile and common type of case in a traditional form factor without any opening or sliding parts.
Monoblock with flip(with lid) - a classic type case with an additional lid covering the main keyboard.
Folding(folding bed, book, frog) - a case of this type consists of two halves that fold out together. Typically, the main and, if available, additional displays are located in the upper part, and the keyboard block is located in the lower part.
Slider(sliding) - the body consists of two halves that slide apart relative to each other. Until recently, cases of this form factor were typical for expensive fashion models.
Rotating(rotator) - perhaps the most unusual type of case, when the front half rotates relative to the rear half by 180 or 360 degrees. Due to its design features, it is rare.
