To connect the router D-Link DIR 300 to the Beeline network, it is not necessary to call the specialists. After all, it is easy to set up. Telecom operators provide every opportunity for this. There is no need to enter IP addresses, subnet masks, DNS if the firmware is from the provider. And there will be no problems with the factory Firmware.

How to set up a D-Link DIR 300 Beeline router

The new modem that you purchased in the store can be connected immediately. But if the device has been used before, it is better to reset the settings.

Connection

To set up a modem, it is better to connect it directly to your computer. Then you can use Wi-Fi if you need it.

If you want to connect a modem via a switch or switch:

  1. Insert the Internet cable into the switch port.
  2. Using exactly the same wire (WAN), connect the switch to the Internet connector of the modem.

Initial setup

If you are setting up a modem for the first time, check whether the system “sees” the new equipment.

  1. Go to Network and Sharing Center.
  2. There should be a D-Link DIR 300 network there. Even if you do not have a connection with Beeline.

With Wi-Fi everything is different:

  1. Click on the network menu on the taskbar. Or in the same “Control Center” click on “Connect to...”.
  2. Current and available connections will pop up.
  3. Select a network.
  4. "Connect" button.
  5. Enter your Wi-Fi password.

Now you need to configure IP and DNS:

Firmware

First, find out what type of router you have. It has several models (eg B5, B7, A1). And each has its own firmware. You can see the version in the device documentation. And it is also indicated on its body - look for a sticker on it with serial numbers. “H/W ver” is the product model, “F/W ver” is the software version.

Software from the manufacturer is available on d-link.ru.

  1. Visit their website.
  2. Go to " Quick search» and open DIR 300 in it.
  3. Or find the device in the “Products and Solutions” section, “Routers” subsection.
  4. The product page has specifications and images. You need the Downloads tab.
  5. At the top is the latest firmware. Below are previous versions. There are descriptions of features and improvements that are added with each update.
  6. And you can also download installation and configuration guides there.

If you have not found software that is suitable for the modem, go to the D-link FTP server - ftp.dlink.ru.

  1. Open the Pub folder in it.
  2. Then Router.
  3. Find your router model - DIR 300.
  4. Firmware Catalog.
  5. Choose software. Installer files have the extension .bin. The main thing is that the version of the program is higher than the one installed and matches the model.
  6. You can go to the Old folder. There are previous versions of utilities.

If you purchased a modem in official Beeline stores, most likely it has firmware from the operator. It's not that easy to install another one. Resetting the configuration does not “return” the factory software. To change the Firmware, it is better to contact a service center.

Firmware installation

To change factory firmware:

Change of software from the operator

It will not be possible to reflash a Beeline router this way. Firmware from the manufacturer is in .bin format. But a device purchased from an operator “reads” only .fwz. To change the software, it is better to take the router to a service center.

IMPORTANT. You can also install the original program from the manufacturer at home. But this is dangerous for the device. If this is your first time connecting a modem, don't take risks.

The first way is complete removal firmware.

  1. “Network and Sharing Center” - “Adapter Settings”.
  2. Open the “Properties” of the connection through which the router operates.
  3. Next - “Properties” of the “TCP/IPv4” protocol.
  4. Assign a temporary IP to your computer. To do this, select “Use the following address” and enter, for example, “192.168.0.11”. When you remove the Firmware, the modem's IP may change. If he and network card will be the same address, it will not be possible to open the web interface.
  5. Unplug your router.
  6. Press the Reset button (insert the rod into it).
  7. Without releasing it, reconnect the modem.
  8. Wait 30 seconds.
  9. Release the button.
  10. Try logging into the modem interface. Just not at the address “192.168.1.1”, as on beeline routers, but at “192.168.0.1”.
  11. Only the button to download new firmware will be available.
  12. After installation, you can again set automatic IP acquisition.

The second method is “intermediate” Firmware.

IMPORTANT. Both methods can render the modem unusable. Loading firmware that is not intended for the modem, or completely removing it, is a risky undertaking.

Web interface and final setup.

To set up a connection, you need some information that your telecom operator will provide to you.

Factory firmware

Firmware from the provider

Setting up a modem from Beeline is much simpler:

  1. Go to the web interface - “192.168.1.1”.
  2. Enter your login and password.
  3. Create a name and access code for your Wi-Fi network.
  4. Specify which LAN port you will connect the TV set-top box to.
  5. You can also set a password on the modem itself.
  6. Click "Save".
  7. Wait for the device to restart.

In the factory Firmware, the Wi-FI and IP-TV options work exactly the same. But they are in different menus. The D-Link DIR 300 router from Beeline can be set up very quickly. All parameters are set there in advance. You just need to enter your username and password. But if you decide to change your provider, it will be difficult to reflash such a router.

For those who are not interested in reading the background, read the text after the quote

Last night, during a break from all the advice, I tried to upgrade my router back to the factory firmware (I once upgraded it to Beeline myself), but I encountered difficulties. First of all, I tried to update stupidly through the menu, indicating the factory firmware version 1.3.3, the update did not happen, that is, the tsatus was that the update was then even written that it was successful, but the standard Beeline menu appears (the router address on the Beeline firmware is 192.168.1.1). then following the advice (of course the router is connected to the computer) I configure it on the computer network connection ip 192.168.0.10 mask 255.255.255.0, turn off the power to the router, press reset, turn on, wait 15 seconds (tried both 20 and 25) trying to constantly log into the router at the address in line 192.168.0.1 (and 192.168.1.1 too) tried both Opera and Google Chrome and IE in general did everything as they said in the article, here I’ll say right away that the router never went into firmware replacement mode, so to speak, “emergency room” here’s a copy-paste of the article, but for earlier builds there’s not much difference in principle

So, here we go:
1. If the router does not show any signs of life, or only the orange “power” diode is on, then first of all we remove all the cords from the router, including the power supply.
2. Download from
Attention! Register to see hidden text.
firmware, .bin file from the folder DIR-300NRU/FIRMWARE/B1_B2_B3 strictly for our router and save it, for example, directly to drive C
3. Go to the settings of the network card and in the properties of the TCP/IPv4 protocol set the IP address 192.168.0.10 mask 255.255.255.0
4. Next, we connect the network card of our computer with a wire to one of the LAN ports of the router, let it be LAN1.
(To return the factory firmware of the DIR-100, you need to connect the computer’s network card to the WAN port of the router (internet). Specify the location of the previously downloaded firmware and follow the link fla.)
for dir-100
5. In the off state, press the RESET button (with a match or other blunt object) and while holding it, connect the power to the router
6. Without releasing, hold the RESET button (20 seconds), wait until it boots emergency mode router recovery.
7. B Mozilla browser or Opera (not IE) type the address 192.168.0.1 and press the RESET button.
8. We indicate where the firmware is located (where we downloaded it) and click Upload firmware now.
Next, wait until the update is completed
9. If everything is done correctly, then after completion we will see the authorization window for our D-Link/
Login and password will return to default admin/empty
After such simple manipulations, you can restore the factory D-Link firmware after a failure, unsuccessful firmware or after third-party firmware.

I repeat, this article did NOT HELP me.
in the end everything is simply ingenious

You need to select our assembly from the dlink storage office http://ftp.dlink.ru/pub/Router/DIR-300_NRU/Firmware/ in our case “B5” (you can find this out on the sticker on the bottom of the router) ONLY HER if you flash B3 then go the service is guaranteed, there in the storage you can also find other useful information such as instructions for different versions Software http://ftp.dlink.ru/pub/Router/DIR-300_NRU/.
LOOKING FOR SOFTWARE with the extension .fwz I chose (DIR_300NRUB5-1.2.94-20110414.fwz)
then by entering the standard Beeline menu of the router at 192.168.1.1, entering the advanced settings, then system, software update, select this downloaded file, click update, it updates longer, but no more than 4 minutes and as a result, the connection is broken or more at the address 192.168.1.1 the router does not appears, go to the address 192.168.0.1 and get into the router menu that the default login and password were from the store (login admin, password admin) then we update where we want and how we want, I had a need to move away from the Beeline firmware due to a change in provider on TTK (I left Goodline; it worked well with the Beeline firmware) I had previously connected the Beeline and the factory router from the store was installed on the Beeline because the IP TV set-top boxes for the TV behaved inappropriately; after re-flashing everything became stable.

In this publication we will walk through setting up the D-Link DIR 300 NRU router to work with the Beeline operator. We will tell you step by step what settings you need to pay attention to, how to configure L2TP and other important points.

It's worth starting with the firmware. Most latest version It is not necessary to install the software on your device, but the router most likely will not work stably with old firmware. The newest firmware versions for D-Link DIR 300 are designated as 1.4.x - this article will discuss the configuration Wi-Fi router D-Link DIR 300 for Beeline operator for this version.

The firmware from Beeline itself, which they offer to install on the provider’s website, is not the best best choice. It can be installed, however, and then returning the standard version back is a rather difficult task.

PC connection

This point is quite simple - you need to insert the Beeline Internet cable into the “Internet” port, and then connect the PC to the router with an Ethernet cable. Now all that remains is to connect the D-link to the power grid.

Attention: you do not need to start a Beeline connection. Otherwise, you will be faced with a fairly common situation: everything works on the computer, but Wi-Fi does not distribute to the Internet. Upon completion of the setup, the router will automatically establish the connection it needs, and only then “distribute” it to other devices. If you run it, then the router will not be able to establish a connection.

Checking settings on PC

We also recommend checking your local connection before starting configuration.
In Windows 7 and older, open Network and Sharing Center shared access”, in the window that appears, select “Change adapter settings”. Right-click on the item with the name of your connection. Next, click "Properties".

If you have Windows XP, then select Network Connections in the Control Panel, click on the local connection- "Properties".

Find "Internet Protocol Version 4 TCP/IPv4" in the list of components that the connection uses, select it and click "Properties".

The IP address and DNS server addresses should be obtained automatically.

Accessing Settings

The main task is to force the router to connect to the Network instead of the PC. Beeline uses the L2TP protocol for connection.

Note: if you previously configured DIR 300, but nothing came of it, then it is better to immediately return it to the factory default values: press and hold the Reset button for 10 seconds.

Now it's time to launch your browser and navigate to 192.168.0.1. Enter the standard values in the form - admin/admin for login and password, respectively.

L2TP configuration

Now we move on to the main thing - setting up L2TP connection parameters for Beeline. The fields must be filled in as follows:

Click "Save". You will then be shown a page with connections: the new connection should be there. In addition, there will be an indicator at the top. It indicates that certain changes have occurred in the settings and they need to be saved. Do it.

Now we need to set up Wi-Fi and set a password.

Wi-Fi setup

Go to the advanced settings page on the Wi-Fi page. There you will find the “Basic Settings” item. Fill out the fields there:

SSID - here you need to specify the network in numbers and Latin letters. It will be visible when connected.

Other items can be left untouched. Click "Edit"

  • Network Authentication - WPA2-PSK
  • The encryption key is the Wi-Fi password.

Click "Edit"

All! Your DIR 300 router is now fully configured.

Setting up the D-Link DIR-300 router is convenient and easy. To do this, you need to know the general rules for setting up D-Link routers and the features of the provider that provides you with an Internet connection. Let's look at how this router is configured for the Beeline network.

Initially, Beeline used such types of wireless Internet connections as PPTP or PPoE. Currently, the L2TP type is used, which significantly reduces the load on the equipment. This has a positive effect on work home internet.

So, let's start setting up the D-Link DIR-300 router for Beeline. First of all, you need to ask correct settings network card. We must set the IP address to be obtained automatically. If you have installed on your computer operating system Windows XP, go to the “Start” menu, select “Control Panel” and look for the “ Network connections" Right-click on it and click on “Properties”. You will see a list in which you need to select “Internet Protocols TCP/IP”.

Click on the “Properties” button and check which items are marked with a dot. We need all phrases that end with the word “Automatic” to be marked.

If you are Windows user 7 , go to the “Start” menu, go to “Control Panel”, select “Network and Internet”, and then “Network and Sharing Center”. In the left column we find the item “Change adapter settings”. Right-click on it and select “Properties”. Double-click the item “Internet Protocols Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)” and place a dot next to the phrases that end with the word “Automatic”.

After we have made the settings, you can proceed directly to connecting the router. We insert the provider cable into the Internet port, and a short wire into one of the four LAN ports. We install the other end of the wire into the computer's network card.

The next stage is authorization. We launch any Internet browser on our computer and enter the IP address of the router in the address bar. Default is 192.168.0.1. The authorization window appears. In the “Username” and “Password” fields, write “admin” and “admin”, then click “Login”.

A new window will open in which you need to select “WAN”. By clicking on the “Add” button, you will be taken to the page for creating a new connection.

There you will need to enter the data necessary to set up a Beeline connection.

In the “Connection type” drop-down list, select the “L2TP + Dynamic IP” option. As mentioned above, it is L2TP that Beeline currently uses.

Then fill in the “Username” and “Password” fields. There you need to enter the data received from the provider. They are usually specified in the Internet connection agreement. If you have lost a copy of the contract, call the service technical support Beeline company and clarify your details.

And finally, in the “VPN server address” column, enter “tp.internet.beeline.ru”. Then click the “Change” button to save the new Internet connection settings.

The next stage is wifi setup. We return to the “Advanced Settings” menu and in the “Wi-Fi” section we find the “Basic Settings” item. In the “SSID” field you must specify the name new network. You can choose any name you want. Enter the name and click the “Change” button.

DIR-300 routers from D-LINK are among the budget models. However, the devices are successfully used to organize cable and wireless local networks that connect users across Wi-Fi technology. The work takes place in the networks of the main Internet operators.

Setting up the D-LINK DIR-300 router for Beeline can be easily done by the user independently, subject to the recommendations of the article.

Connectors for making cable connections are located on the rear panel of the product body. The RJ-45 connector, designated as WAN (Internet), is connected to the cable of the provider using the FTTx type of connection over a leased line. In our case, this is Beeline. Other RJ-45s, designated LAN1-LAN4, are used for cable subscribers that do not have built-in wireless modules.

To power the router from the network, a rectifier device with a plug connector is inserted into the socket marked “5V=1.2A”. There is an additional ON/OFF button to turn on the power. The Reset/Restore button, located in the recess of the case, is designed to hardware reset the current settings of the router and return them to factory values. The antenna from the stock kit is screwed into the high-frequency socket for the DIR router. Its initial setup is performed using a desktop computer (PC) connected with an Ethernet patch cord to one of the LAN ports of the DIR-300 router.

Setting up PPPTP or L2TP connections from Beeline

Let's start by checking the settings of the PC's network card. Make sure that DHCP is enabled, which automatically assigns IP addresses and DNS server addresses. TCP/IP 4 versions. If the specified step is not taken, mark these points and confirm the action by clicking the OK stencil.

At the next stage, we gain access to the DIR-300 interface, where we will set Beeline network parameters. The provider recommends setting up the L2TP protocol for Beeline on its website. To authorize, enter the IP address 192.168.0.1 DIR-300 into the address bar of the browser open on the PC and press Enter. In the pop-up window, enter your login and password information (admin/admin). After that, click “Login”. We find out the IP address and authorization data from the information label on the bottom of the DIR router case.

In the “Advanced Settings” section in the “Network” tab, select the WAN section. On the section page, fill in the fields as follows:

  • any connection name;
  • type – L2TP+Dynamic IP;
  • username and password with confirmation - data from the agreement concluded with the provider;
  • address VPN servers– tp.internet.beeline.ru.

Additionally, we mark with markers the points for automatically obtaining the DNS server address, enabling NAT and firewall, and automatically connecting to the VPN server.

To connect via PPTP protocol, the appropriate type is selected. The server address used is vpn.internet.beeline.ru.

After executing the “Save” command, a page with the created new connection will open. At the top right you can see the light in flashing mode. It signals that the connection has been terminated by Beeline, the configuration has been damaged and must be saved. We agree with the proposal and click “Save”. As a result, the light will stop blinking and the DIR connection will receive the “Connected” status with the green indicator on.

Setting up IPoE

A message was published on the operator’s website that the home Internet is switching to a new type of connection, defined by Beeline as automatic. To access the network, the user does not need to click on the operator shortcut on the PC desktop. The Internet start page appears immediately after turning on the computer. Activation technology using VPN requires a large load on the subscriber’s equipment. With IPoE, this is taken over by the provider’s special router.

For initial setup on the user’s part, after logging into the DIR interface, in the WAN connection type, specify “Dynamic IP address” and execute the “Save” command.
In an open web browser, go to the operator’s website: login.beeline.ru. Enter the login and password from the agreement into the form and click “Login.” All settings are carried out on the provider’s side within 10 minutes. Appears home page browser.

Setting up a wireless Wi-Fi network

Click the “Advanced Settings” stencil at the bottom home page, find the Wi-Fi tab. Next, go to the “Basic Settings” section. In it we write the name of the DIR-300 router network, thanks to which we will find it in the list of available ones. Then we define the region: Russia, and the mode is 11bgn mixed, the number of the working channel and its width is “Auto”. We place markers in the wireless broadcast permission cells while maintaining the DIR-300 name. We save the entered values.

Go to the “Security” section. There we set the authentication parameters: WPA/WPA2-PSK, encryption type – AES, as well as an individual key (a strong password for wi fi). Click “Save”.

The settings take effect after rebooting the DIR-300 by turning it off and re-activating it after a minute. The reboot is carried out along the following path: “System” – “System tools” – “Reboot”.

Setting up IPTV

The D-LINK DIR-300 router supports IPTV if the operator provides such a service and the subscriber has paid for it in advance. Watching interactive TV is carried out using an STB set-top box connected with an Ethernet cable to one of the LAN ports of the router. In the DIR-300 menu, select the “IP-TV” tab,

section “IPTV Setup Wizard”, on its page you programmatically assign a port that is switched to transparent bridge mode for the set-top box.

Once this assignment is saved, the LAN connector is used for TV viewing only.

Firmware

To carry out the update procedure without undesirable consequences for the consumer, it is necessary to correctly determine the hardware version or revision H/W ver. for the DIR-300. And also the version software F/W ver. Information about them is available on the product label.
For example, revision B1, B2, B5, B7. The manufacturer's latest current firmware is available on its official website. To do this, you must provide complete information about the DIR-300 model used. The data is available in the Firmware catalog as an archive. The latest issue is downloaded to your computer and unpacked. The installer file has the extension .bin.

Firmware installation

Select the “Advanced Settings” mode, find the “System” tab, and in it – the “Software Update” section. On the section page we find the “Browse” button and, by clicking on it, look for the path to the downloaded file on the PC. After finding what you are looking for, click on the “Update” button.
Once the download is complete, the router will reboot. After installing new software firmware from the manufacturer, the entire procedure for setting parameters local network DIR-300 has to be carried out again.

Change of software from the operator

If you purchased the DIR-300 at the operator's retail outlets, the method described above will not work to change the router firmware to the original factory firmware. The fact is that Firmware D-LINK has an installer file with the extension .bin, and Beeline can only “read” .fwz. At home, several methods are used to solve the problem.

In both cases, the software change begins with a hardware reset using the Reset button on the DIR-300 case or restoring factory settings through the router menu.
In the first method, the PC is first assigned a third-party static IP from the DHCP range in its protocol. Login to the router interface is carried out at 192.168.0.1. After downloading the new original firmware and saving it on the computer, select the “Software Update” section in the “System” tab of the DIR-300 interface. Further actions are performed as described above.

After rebooting the router, you must remember to return the TCP/IP protocol to the computer automatic mode receiving addresses.

The second method is to install “intermediate” firmware. You need to look for it on Internet sites, and then update the software to the “native” current value.

In any case, these update methods are quite a risky undertaking.

If you select the wrong source data or access an unverified source of information, you can disable the DIR-300 router with its subsequent possible restoration in service center with financial costs.

Possible problems when setting up Wi-Fi routers

All the problems that arise are:

  • hardware malfunctions of the configured equipment;
  • malfunctions of its software;
  • outdated or incorrectly selected firmware versions;
  • user errors during setup due to his inattention or lack of proper operating experience.

In general, setting up the DIR-300 router is convenient and simple. To act independently, you need to know the general rules and features of the Beeline provider, and strictly follow the step-by-step instructions presented in the article.
